Introduction and Purpose

Welcome all to

Rant Against the Machine

a blog intent on countering the liberal-dominated media that has adulterated and manipulated our fellow citizens' minds. Here I will focus largely on the New York Times, a newspaper rotting with bias, and made putrid from a lack integrity. The power of the pen is one some journalists have wielded injudiciously. They flaunt their high degrees and awards, yet simultaneously ignore basic Journalism 101 lessons about maintaining objectivity. Author Philip Dick wisely stated, "The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words" (http://www.ifla.org/faife/litter/origin/d.htm). Therefore, the main theme of Rant Against Against the Machine will be to analyze the way in which journalists distort their articles through usage of particular words, or lack of them. I will also utilize this blog as an opportunity to state my opinions on any story found in the front section of the New York Times.

Please feel free to comment since discussion and debate are principle to society's growth, growth that unfortunately has been stunted by the Democrats domination of the media and insistence on political correctness. Do not be fooled by their cries of freedom- including the freedom to murder unborn children, stay in the country illegally, or even the freedom to recieve money for nothing-- well, nothing but producing even MORE financial leeches. Right now we are all in chains, deprived of the fundamental freedom to express our ideas, especially those based on logic and fact, which inevitably contradict the ideology of liberals. The recent "demonstration" by the fascists at Emory University where they disallowed David Horowitz to deliver his speech during Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is just one of the numerous examples of the repression of an ideology that contradicts that of the Democrats.

I urge you to fight back through your own personal blogs. Most journalists agree the purpose of their profession is to allow citizens to self-govern, a heavy burden since media outlets traditionally served as the sole informational source. Yet how can we self-govern if others are governing what we percieve as fact? Now that the media role of an informer has degenerated into a role of a manipulator, the internet has become a battleground for truth, with bloggers at the forefront (Remember the Dan Rather debacle? Bloggers were the ones who exposed his poorly researched story).

Join me in this battle, this fierce threat to media control!
